Wholesale Frozen Squid Tubes for Global Seafood Buyers

Product Overview

The Squid Tube from HongXiang is a high-performance soft plastic lure engineered to reproduce the exact silhouette, texture, and movement of small squid and cuttlefish. It is built for anglers targeting aggressive saltwater species in both shallow coastal waters and deep offshore drop-offs. The tapered body, internal rib structure, and ultra-soft material create a natural swimming kick on the fall and a subtle darting action on the retrieve. HongXiang manufactures this lure with a salt-infused TPE compound that provides the weight, taste, and durability serious anglers expect from a premium product.

This Tube series is available in five sizes, sixteen standard colors, and four UV-reactive finishes. Each model is designed to pair with a specific range of jig heads, making it a versatile tool for slow-pitch jigging, shore casting, and vertical dropping. The following sections break down the full technical parameters and recommended fishing methods. Our Squid Tube series includes products such as Customizable Frozen Squid Tube, etc.

Rigging and Fishing Techniques

Straight Jig Head Rig

  1. Select a jig head that matches the model size as shown in the table above.
  2. Insert the hook point into the tapered head cavity at the front of the Squid Tube.
  3. Thread the hook through the pre-cut dorsal groove until the hook eye exits the top of the head.
  4. Seat the jig collar firmly into the head cavity so the body sits straight without twisting.
  5. Check that the hook gap is fully exposed along the dorsal slot for reliable hook sets.

Slow-Pitch Jigging

For slow-pitch vertical work, use a 90 mm to 150 mm Tube paired with a 40 g to 120 g slow-pitch jig head. Drop the lure to the bottom, lift the rod tip sharply about 30 cm, and allow the lure to fall on a semi-slack line. The Squid Tube will spiral and kick during the fall, closely imitating a squid swimming away from danger. Pause for 2 to 4 seconds between lifts. This method is highly effective for snapper, grouper, and amberjack in 30 to 100 meters of water.

Shore Casting and Retrieve

For shore fishing, the 65 mm and 90 mm models work best. Cast beyond the break line and let the lure sink to the desired depth. Use a slow steady retrieve with occasional twitches of the rod tip. The tail of the Tube produces a subtle wobble that attracts sea bass, flathead, and flounder. In clear water, choose natural colors like Pearl Silver or Clear White. In stained water, switch to Pink Flash or Chartreuse Belly.

Vertical Dropping

Vertical dropping is a finesse technique for deep structure. Use the 120 mm or 150 mm Squid Tube with a heavy jig head and drop it straight down beside wrecks, reefs, or drop-offs. Keep the line taut and watch for any change in tension. Because the Tube falls slowly due to its soft body and salt content, it stays in the strike zone longer than hard-bodied jigs. This slow fall often triggers strikes from inactive fish.
